Educational support to children at Bethany Karunalaya in Cherlapally, Telungana, South India

Bethany Karunalaya is a registered charitable institution started in 2005 with the vision of “Offering a Home.. Offering a Life” for orphan children. Bethany Karunalaya currently shelters 42 orphan children, with the mission of sheltering the homeless, teaching them the value of life and empowering them to face the world and its challenges. The children are provided with free boarding, lodging, clothing, medical care, education, vocational training and cultural development in order to provide opportunity for holistic development and make them employment worthy so that they can become self-reliant.

Bethany Karunalaya’s objective is to provide integrated community based basic services for the care, protection and development of orphan / destitute children. The orphanage is in dire need of funding for educational facilities for these needy children.

GIVE has been providing educational aid for the impoverished children of Bethany Karunalaya for the last 4 years by funding for:
  • Books, pens, pencils and all study materials; and
  • School uniform, bag and shoes and all educational needs.

GIVE believes when children are educated, they possess something which cannot be lost or taken away from them and which offers them some protection from exploitation and abuse. They will have more power in the labour market; they will be better equipped to provide for themselves in a way which protects their integrity and their dignity.
